Every family should have a stable and secure future. Every child should have space to grow and thrive.
We want to send a clear message to the Labor Government: The 44 towers need to stay.
Our communities shouldn’t be torn apart just so private developers can make more profits.
Let’s paint a secure future for housing in Victoria, one brushstroke at a time.

WHY WE’RE DOING THIS
By spending just an hour or two painting with us, you’ll be helping the campaign to tackle the housing crisis.
We aren’t going to sit around and watch precious public housing be demolished in the middle of a housing affordability and rental crisis – that’s why we’re picking up the paint brush and taking action.
WHAT WE’LL DO WITH THE PAINTED TOWERS
On Wednesday 11 September, Labor MPs will have the chance to justify their plan to demolish the public housing towers in a parliamentary debate. On that day, we want to place 44 cardboard replica towers outside Parliament representing the homes that Labor wants to demolish.
Labor MPs should see the consequences of their decisions. A shocking 10,000 people will be uprooted from their homes with nowhere to go while Labor MPs stay silent.
The Greens want Labor to immediately stop this demolition and privatisation of public housing.
We need to protect our communities, keep public land for public housing and build more public homes.
Please contact Samantha Ratnam’s office at samantha@samantharatnam.org.au if you have any questions.
We take this action in solidarity with the residents at risk of losing their homes and communities.
These events are taking place of the land of the Traditional Owners. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded and stand in solidarity with their calls for treaty, truth-telling and justice.
